At Heart in Box, we think mums are brave. But often, they don't think that about themselves when they are waist deep in diaper change, toddler tantrums, teenage woes or empty nesting struggles.
In our #BRAVE MAMA IN MY FAMILY feature, we hope to showcase everyday courage. And that the everyday struggles mums have to push through are not trivial. We hope to inspire, encourage and nourish you via this special feature. Because #wordsarepowerful.
We also hope that you, after reading these interviews, will take a moment, stop and reflect about the courage you have put into your own motherhood journey. Most importantly, we hope to have passed on the value that you have as a woman and a mum, even though, there are moments and days (or even people) that don't make you feel that way.
You are loved, mama. Each and every one of you are created unique and beautiful, and loved.
“There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravery involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater.
But sometimes it doesn't.
Sometimes it is nothing more than gritting your teeth through pain, and the work of every day, the slow walk toward a better life.
That is the sort of bravery I must have now.”
― Veronica Roth, Allegiant
